Plot

Dale is confident that he will be re-elected as president of the gun club, despite opposition from the recently paroled Mad Dog (Gary Busey). However, while regaling the club with another story of his supposed exploits, he loses control of his gun, which falls to the floor and accidentally fires. Mad Dog mocks Dale, who loses confidence in himself as a result. In an attempt to bolster Dale's confidence, Hank calls the number in Dale's Soldier of Fortune mercenary-for-hire ad, pretending to be "Mr. Big", and sends Dale on a supposedly easy quest to deliver a briefcase. Dale's paranoia causes him to bungle the job, believing that Mr. Big is actually Mad Dog out to assassinate him. When the guys try to intervene, they find themselves tied up at Mad Dog's mercy in the gun club. Although Hank calls Dale out on his claims of covert operations for the CIA, Dale surprises everyone by seeming to organize a tactical strike (in actuality a large number of flower deliverymen). Mad Dog panics and runs, and Dale's apparent successful mission inspires the club to unanimously re-elect him as president.
